1992 Port Vintage Report

The 1992 vintage was declared by some port houses who produced some rich and concentrated wines. The port was still young in 2008 and benefitted from further cellaring, making them a brilliant 31 year old wine gift for a birthday or anniversary in 2023.

Quevedo, 1992

Colheita Port
*** 94 Points- Wine Advocate ***

*** 90 Points, Roy Hersh - For the Love of Port ***

The 1992 Quevedo Colheita is an outstanding quality and value effort from this family-run estate. Oscar and Claudia Quevedo have produced a light brown port with hints of amber. On the palate there are nuts and a lovely light molasses note with coffe and spices The finish is long and lingering as befits a quality port such as this. Outstanding!

Reviews:
"This was a cask sample which Oscar Quevedo had sent to me by way of Vinologia and how often do you get to try 16 year old bottled cask samples of any wine? I can't begin to describe the color as we sat beneath the bridge on the Porto side, sipping and talking during the wee hours our first night in country (Andy/ Stewart/Roy).

Sale

Vintage Port, Douro | Presented in own Wooden Gift Box
Excellent Provenance - Burmester Library release
BLACK FRIDAY OFFER | Was £119 | Now £55

This 1992 Burmester Vintage Port from the fabulous 1992 Port Vintage has outstanding provenance! This bottle has been stored at the Burmester cellars on Porto since bottling until it was acquired by us earlier this year.

The 1992 Burmester is a beautiful mature tawny colour. On the nose it has cocoa, chocolate together with a hint of mint. On the palate this is quite complex - medium bodied with a perfect balance between the acidity, tannins and flavours, there is a little spiciness in the mouth that adds to the experience. Long, long finish. This is in a good place and should hold well for the next decade or so.
