Description and Reviews:
A well matured 2008 Armagnac suitable for sipping neat to fully appreciate its depth and complexity.
Tasting Notes
Deep amber colour, indicating a decade of oak aging. The nose is intense and rich, with notes of dried fruits, vanilla, caramel, and toffee. The palate is smooth and warming, with a balanced blend of dried fruit, honey, and spice. The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering notes of oak, spice, and a gentle warmth. The mouthfeel is full-bodied and rich, with a slightly viscous or oily texture. The wine has well-integrated flavours with a good balance of sweetness, spice, and oak.
Serving & Food Pairing
Armagnac is traditionally enjoyed neat, allowing you to fully appreciate its complexity. However, it can be paired with a variety of cheeses like Roquefort, Comté, high quality dark chocolate, caramel-based desserts and roasted or candied nuts.
The Maison Ryst-Dupeyron was founded by Joseph Dupeyron in 1905. He built a family home in the heart of Gascony, to house its elixirs. This has been passed on for five generations and is now in the care of Caroline Ryst.
