Description and Reviews:
The 1994 Quinta do Passadouro is a superb example of a high-quality Vintage Port from an excellent vintage.
Tasting Notes Sweet, with a balanced structure due to firm tannins and good acidity. Its full-bodied palate features ripe black fruits, dark chocolate, figs, coffee, spices, cloves, cinnamon, licorice, and earthy undertones. The tannins are firm and well-integrated, providing structure and longevity. The acidity is well-balanced, complementing the sweetness and richness. The finish is long and persistent.
Serving & Food Pairing Vintage Ports are best decanted and served slightly below modern room temperature: 16° to 18° C. This vintage Port pairs wonderfully with rich desserts such as chocolate cake or dark chocolate truffles. It can also be enjoyed with strong cheeses, particularly blue cheeses, or simply savoured on its own as a contemplative after-dinner drink.
