This 2007 Vintage Port can be enjoyed young for its powerful fruit, but it is also designed to age for decades. Over time, the wine will develop more complex tertiary flavors such as dried fruits, nuts, and more pronounced spice.
Tasting Notes The 2007 Quinta Das Carvalhas is a very deep and black purple colour. A very concentrated and fruity aroma, with jammy, blackberries and plum notes. The great mouthfeel reveals all the complexity flavour of fruit, full-bodied and balanced wine with soft and velvety background and a long and lasting finish.
Serving Tips & Food Pairing When mature this port will need to be decanted to remove sediment. Serve at room temperature on its own, with steak or vintage mature blue cheeses or top quality chocolate.
