Description and Reviews:
This rare port-wine has been stored in seasoned oak casks since the 1962 harvest until it was bottled this year.
Tasting Notes: Dark oak colour with verdant edge. A very complex nose, with toasted nut, dried prunes, and an orange citrus zest with a hint pepper. On the palate there is a light volatile acidity and soft integrated tannins that contribute to make this an elegant wine. 94/100 VWPtasting 11/2021 TC
Serving Suggestions Temperature: Best served slightly chilled, around 12-16°C (54-61°F).
Glassware: Use a port glass or a small wine glass to concentrate the aromas.
Food Pairing: Pairs well with a variety of foods including aged cheeses, nutty desserts, or even on its own as a dessert wine.
STORAGE The wine is ready to drink and does not require decanting. The bottle should be kept upright and protected from direct sunlight. Once opened, the port should be stored in a fridge and consumed within 3 months.
