Description and Reviews:
The 1982 Messias Colheita Port represents a fine example of a meticulously crafted Tawny Port, showcasing the expertise and tradition of Messias in producing high-quality Port wines.
Tasting notes: A complex fusion of dried fruit and cedar notes. Aromas of dried forest fruits, with a strong note of prunes and spice. On the palate the wine is smooth and full bodied with walnuts, caramel, vanilla and sweet prunes enhanced by sultana and wood spice flavours from the cask ageing. The aftertaste is persistent, smooth, and fine.
Serving & Food Pairing Colheita Ports are ready-to drink and do not require decanting. Best enjoyed slightly chilled at 12-13ºC they will work wonders if pairing with treacle tart, crème brulee or nut based desserts, like hazelnut praline. Once opened colheita Port should be stored in a fridge and should be consumed within 3 months.
