Tasting notes:
Deep, lustrous mahogany hue, reminiscent of aged oak and antique leather. Its aroma is a symphony of dried fruits, with intense notes of figs, dates, raisins, orange peel, toasted almonds, and spices. The palate is velvety-smooth with a harmonious balance of flavours, including dried fruit, caramelized sugar, honeycomb, and dark chocolate. The aging process adds refined complexity, with subtle oak undertones adding depth and structure. Colheita Ports are ready-to drink and do not require decanting. Best enjoyed slightly chilled at 12-13ºC they will work wonders if pairing with treacle tart, crème brulee or nut based desserts, like hazelnut praline. Once opened colheita Port should be stored in a fridge and should be consumed within 3 months.
