***95 Points - Robert Parker***
Description and Reviews:
The 1952 Burmester Colheita Port is a silky and refined port wine with the complexity that comes from decades of aging.
Tasting notes
Amber with golden edges, indicative of its long aging in wooden casks. On the nose, complex aromas of figs, prunes, dates , almonds and hazelnuts intermingle with notes of caramel, toffee, and subtle spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate is rich, smooth, and well-balanced, with layers of dried fruits, honey, wood spices, and toasted almonds. It finishes long and persistent finish, with a fine balance of sweetness and acidity.
Serving & Food Pairing:
Best enjoyed slightly chilled, often as a dessert wine. It pairs beautifully with desserts like almond tart, dried fruit dishes, and creamy cheeses, or it can be sipped on its own to appreciate its full complexity.

How to Store Your Colheita Port:
Colheita Ports should be stored in a cool and dry place, sheltered from light and temperature fluctuations, and the bottle should remain in an upright position. If stored correctly, Colheita Ports will keep for decades in the bottle. Over time, it is natural that a little sediment will form at the bottom of the bottle. Once opened colheita Port should be stored in a fridge and should be consumed within 3 months.
